Gregg Merksamer came to our company as a clay modeler, artist and concept draftsman back in 1991, when he was pursuing his Masters of Industrial Design degree at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. Among other projects for N.Y.C.C., Gregg's eye is evident in the Excelerator Neoclassic Limousine and the Chrysler Concorde China Family Hearse. This Warwick, N.Y. resident is also a professional automotive journalist whose vintage vehicle stories appear in Old Cars Weekly and regularly on the Popular Mechanics web site.
He wrote a book on the history of the New York International Auto Show that was published in 2000, and is currently at work on a book about funeral cars and ambulances for Krause Publications.
